Modernization of Arges Bridge
The overall objective
- The overall objective of the project is the rehabilitation of urban infrastructure in Pitesti, Arges county, by increasing accessibility, improving of public transport and ensure the good conditions of traffic, thus contributing to strengthening the competitive position and attractiveness of Pitesti in the local, regional, national and european territorial system.
- The specific objective of the project is the bridge on Route 7 across the river Arges (NEW BRIDGE + OLD BRIDGE approx. 4541.77 sq m) over a period of 33 months, through following operations:
- New Bridge repairs:
- repairs with mortars and special concretes of the zones with degraded concrete of the superstructure and infrastructure;
- injection of cracks from the resistance structure;
- changing of sidewalks, green spaces etc;
- replacement of curbs on the marginal and central side;
- repairing the surfaces with degraded concretes (2 – 3%);
- hydroinsulations with highly efficient materials;
- protective layer of hydroinsulation;
- rehabilitation of the route;
- sidewalks rehabilitation;
- changing the pedestrian parapet;
- installing new devices to cover expansion joints;
- installing a traffic safety guardrail for heavy transport;
- installation of drains fitted with extension tubes;
- achievement of road markings and installation of road signs required;
- restoring the connections with the embankments and ensuring the flow of water;
- connecting the access ramps and restoring of the asphalt on ramps at the connection. point.
- Old Bridge repairs:
- repairs with mortars and special concretes of the zones with degraded concrete of the superstructure and infrastructure;;
- injection of cracks from the resistance structure;
- replacement of curbs on the marginal and central side;
- cuvette repairs and hydroinsulation restoration;
- hydroinsulations with highly efficient materials;
- protective layer of hydroinsulation;
- rehabilitation of the route;
- sidewalks rehabilitation;
- changing the pedestrian parapet;
- installing new devices to cover expansion joints;
- installing a traffic safety guardrail;
- installation of drains fitted with extension tubes;
- achievement of road markings and installation of road signs required;
- improving infrastructure and vault;
- consolidation of the vault and diaphragms;
- floating platforms and formworks;
- restoring the connections with the embankments and ensuring the flow of water;
connecting the access ramps and restoring of the asphalt on ramps at the connection.

➢ Achieving the monitoring of project activities:
==> Monitoring the procurement stages according to the schedule of activities in the funding application
==> Drafting of progress reports
==> Developing applications for reimbursement requests;
==> Assistance in identifying, assessing and managing risks occurring during the project;
==> Assistance in the planning of activities using established project management methodologies;
==> Assistance in drafting and monitoring the contracts to be awarded during the implementation of projects and training members of the IPU on the role and responsibilities over the management of the financing contract.
➢ Drafting audit trails and tracking them
==> Choosing audit trails, suitable for project activities and sub-activities;
==> Implementation of audit trails, suitable for project activities and sub-activities.
➢ Providing consultancy during the project implementation
==> Drafting of documents required by the Intermediate Body, Managing Authority for Regional Operational Programme and other bodies that will require data and information about the progress of the financing contract;
==> Assistance in the relationship between Beneficiary and Managing Authority.
➢ Ensuring the quality of documents
==> Projecting a workflow to ensure the design of all documents related to the project financed from Regional Operational Programme;
==> Application of the control loop during the project.
➢ Project Management
==> Achieving periodic monitoring activity of project management company activity;
==> Evaluation of project implementation.
